It couture darling!

I always seem to be more interested in the couture collection rather than the ready to wear show. I suppose it my love for anything old (haute couture ain’t new fashion baby) and can have a feeling of taking you back to a certain past era, the elaborated fashion style and the attention to detail is one of the kind.

Anyway here my prize to my favorite couture designs:

For the clothes it Dior:

Why did i choose Dior? The attention to details, the big ball gown, the make-up, the hair and the list could go on. I can’t pick one single outfits i singular like. It has a fairy tale epic themes on the whole collection, it stunningly beautiful.

For the hair:

I had to pick Chanel for the best hair style, i love it! It’s so girly and feminine! A heart shape hair style that decorated in gorgeous hair clips.  My boyfriend reckon they just look like Minnie Mouse ears.

For the werid:

Alexis Mabillie Collection look a little werid, it remind me of the 90’s batman film with the villian Two face. I’m sorry this isn’t for me.

I could go on but i be here forever…i know i will never wear the clothes, but i do dream one day i be at the show.

The moment someone say to you ‘oh you would look cute with some bangs* in your hair’,  is the moment you start to notice how everyone got bangs – and you want one! So this morning i did just that. I’m pleased with the result and it kinda make me look Anne Hataway from The Devil Wear Prada.

So anyway i fulfilled one of my new year resolution – do something with my hair!!

I did just that!!

* Bangs are amercian term for fringe

Anna Golden Globes Glamour

Last night was the Annual Golden Globes Award. I’m disappointed that Avatar didn’t take more awards home – but damn still please it took two home.  Anyway here is 5 of my favorite fashion gown of the evening – tell me if you agree with me.

(warning this could get image heavy!)

Golden Globe Awards 2010 - RED CARPET Christina Hendricks looking like Jessica Rabbit. I love the   gown as the pastel peach colour works well for her skin tone, her hair is a fiery red and it makes her simply gorgeous. Making me jealous in a way as i want to look that!

67th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Press Room Kate Winslet looking sophicated

67th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Press Room

I loving Christina new short hair look

Walking in a wonderland

Judging by the fact it been sooo cold and freezing the past month, i felt it was time to have a sing along to a classic winter song. Plus it snowing outside kinda help as well.

Anyway despite it being cold and snowy, it does give you a little bit of motivation to do some university work. I finally finshed my tabloid anaylsis work and getting started on the critical media anaylsis work (ie review a magazine).

Oh i also felt as it a new year, i might as well start the new year with a survey:

Promise for the new year

I should really be working on my uni works right now but I’m not really in the mood right now, I’m suppose to be writing a socio-demographic analysis on The Daily Mirror, but trying to find facts and figure is not that easy when you can’t find the information you need. Grrr….

Anyway instead i decide to write in here as it a lot more fun. How was your Christmas? Mine, was fun. The week leading up to Christmas i was working overtime at Waitrose to get some extra cash, kinda glad all my overtime is over, it can get a little repeated. For Christmas my boyfriend brought me Shoes and boots, got all the usual girlie things, i might try and them on here.

So this is the first post on 2010. I suppose i better write my ten promise of the year:

  1. Be more healthy and exercise more.
  2. Slim down to a permanent UK dress size 10.
  3. Don’t be such a shopaholic and wasteful of money.
  4. Try and save money rather than spend it.
  5. Do something with my hair – it just boring and horrible.
  6. Watch more Arty/foreign film.
  7. Read more Arty books
  8. Listen to more indie bands/ go to a festival
  9. Think before i speak -  not to get so wound-up.
  10. Sort out my wardrobe.

There you have it, it be interesting to read this in 12 month and if i achieved anything.

The beautifulstyle now have a facebook group!!

Anyway have a great day. xxx
